Dutch designer Glyn Peter Machin recently added the Karina armless guest chair to the seating options for HBF. A companion to his existing guest chair with arms, the new version also takes inspiration from iconic designs from mid-century modern Danish design. 

Celebrating both beautiful organic forms and superior craftsmanship, the sturdy Karina is made from solid ash wood is defined by soft lines and a sleek profile. All elements of Karina are carefully crafted and shaped, without a single straight regular-cut component involved. Each piece – from the slender legs to the curved backrest and generous semi-circular seat – flow effortlessly in relation to each other, and appear as a single crafted model.

Lightweight in construction, the detailed curvaceous form of Karina is enhanced by exposed tenons and clean lines, offering a striking visual appeal with a contemporary twist on classic Scandinavian styling. 

The Karina armless guest chair is available in 16 finishes ranging from opaque tones (Warm White, Designer White, Black, Pewter, Peppercorn, Mist, Grey, Denim and Smoke) to more natural leaning hues (Nutmeg, Bark, Clear, Sumatra, Dark Roast, Warm Brick and Amber). Also, a wide range of upholstery options are offered.
