The AZURE Houses issue returns in 2026 with stunning, innovative residential projects from Canada and around the world. Plus, we take a look at that seeming relic of the past: the mall.

At once formal and inviting, the Kile sofa by Fredericia was designed by Jasper Morrison. The sofa’s straight back gently transitions to angle armrests that open outwards on either end to create a comfortable and welcoming seat.

Kile’s refined aesthetic is an ideal fit for residential spaces, but its durable construction – a solid oak wood frame is wrapped in upholstered cold-cured foam – means it is also suitable for high-traffic, public areas such as lobbies and waiting rooms.

Kile is offered in two- and three-seater versions, in a wide variety of upholstery fabrics and with black-lacquered, smoked-, soaped- or oil-finished oak legs.
