A collaboration between heritage textile and furnishings brand Kravet and tile and bath expert TileBar, the Kravet x TileBar collection translates iconic textile and wallcovering patterns from Kravet’s archives into stone and porcelain offerings.
Intended for both residential and commercial interior applications, the Kravet x TileBar collection pays homage to signature motifs while reimagining them as statement-making micro-mosaics, premium carved stones and decorative porcelains. Rooted in a mutual respect for craft and materiality, the collection includes six patterns — Ellsen, Nautra, Moonwave, Rhodesa, Saltveil and Elowynn — in a sophisticated palette of soft whites, metallics and blues.
The floral-inspired Ellsen updates a classic star-and-cross motif as a hand-placed mosaic with pieces of Blue Macauba quartzite and Calacatta Gold marbles on a Thassos marble base. The precision-cut waterjet mosaic is an ideal option for kitchen walls and backsplashes and bathrooms.
An intriguing juxtaposition of abstract shapes and geometric curves that evoke waves, Nautra is crafted by placing hundreds of individual pieces of natural marble — Bardiglio Gray, Calacatta Gold or Cloud Emerald. The mesh-mounted micro-mosaics have a tumbled finish that enhances the natural characteristics of the stones, and is suitable for walls and floors.
Based on a signature Kravet botanical, Moonwave transforms a flat stone surface with an intricately carved Ginkgo leaf-inspired pattern. The large-format surface (40-by-40-centimetre) is made from Thassos or Calacatta Gold marble and suitable for bathrooms, backsplashes and feature walls.
Evoking beautiful coastal landscapes, the digitally printed wave pattern of Rhodesa was inspired by a popular Kravet wallpaper and features a rich tonal depth through two neutral palettes: Horizon Wash Blue and Dune Beige. The triple-fired porcelain is intended for serene wall applications.
Based on a best-selling wallpaper, Saltveil is an Italian-made, triple-fired, colour-body porcelain with a painterly pattern. Rich with texture and nuance, the pattern is available in Pearl White and Champagne Beige, both of which have subtle golden metallic layers. It is suitable for wall use only.
A contemporary take on classic damask, Elowynn is a mini-series that includes five separate patterns: Haven, Belle, Medallion, Flora and Haven & Belle. A versatile porcelain crafted in Spain, Elowynn also features multiple colour options for each individual motif.
