Laconica
Colombo Design America presents Laconica, a handle designed by engineer Alberto Meda, which interprets elegance in its most essential expression. Designed for those seeking an authentic aesthetic free from excess, Laconica expresses a rigorous balance between function and shape.
Driven by the guiding principle, “design speaks clearly,” the handle embraces a precise design language, in which the purity of lines combines with engineering expertise, giving life to a coherent, measured and immediately recognizable object.
Laconica’s essential geometry expresses a visual lightness that translates into comfort and practicality, allowing for natural integration into contemporary and minimal architectural contexts. Each element is reduced to its essential form, in line with Alberto Meda’s design approach, where shape and function coincide in balance.
Produced using advanced manufacturing processes, Laconica is also available in finishes using solvent-free powder coatings — a choice that combines industrial quality and environmental awareness, in line with a responsible design vision and a concrete commitment to a more sustainable future.
With Laconica, Alberto Meda has designed a handle that interprets everyday gestures with precision and restraint, transforming them into a conscious design experience. A discreet object, capable of interacting with space without imposing itself, Laconica contributes to the quality of the environment through the simplicity and continuity of its lines.
Made of Cromall, Laconica is available in PVD-treated finishes — Polished Brass, HPS Stainless Steel and Matte Graphite — as well as painted versions in Umber Bronze, Dark Green and Cherry.
The collection includes door and window handles, available in versions on rose, on rose without escutcheons, privacy sets and DK window handles. The offering is completed by the lift-and-slide handle and the fixed pull handle without a rose.
