Maxalto creative direction Antonio Citterio devised his Lilum sofa to be a destination for relaxed and convivial conversations.
With a casual design reminiscent of the organic and sinuous lines that predominated after the Second World War, it makes a laid-back counterpoint to more formal seating.
The only sofa from the Maxalto to have a direct seating frame, Lilum is constructed using a mix of methods: in-house technology is used for moulding the shapely backrest and establish a high degree of precision for every profile, while the supportive base is fabricated from multilayered glued laminated wood withou nails or glues.
Offered in a range of modules of various sizes and shapes including left- and right-armed, straight, angled and chaise, Lilum’s slender aluminum base can be finished in amber, bronzed nickel, graphite or black chrome. Multiple fabrics and leathers are available for the upholstery.
