The Lotus Casegoods collection from Stance Healthcare expertly blends style with functionality to prioritize safety in health spaces. Comprised of beds (single and double), desks, tables and wardrobes (with one fixed shelf and a j-bar or with five open fixed shelves) with a warm wood-grain appearance, the Lotus Casegoods collection helps establish a pleasing environment in Behavioral Health spaces.
Platform beds feature double-wall construction for added strength and resiliency and are designed to be ligature resistant. Other enhanced safety considerations include wardrobes with sloped tops to prevent concealment and mattresses with an optional built-in pillow; the mattresses also feature five distinct pressure reduction zones for increased comfort, cooling technology to help dissipate heat, zoned channels for improved air flow and circulation and seams designed to resist bed bugs and contaminants. A version of both the single and double platform beds have rounded corners and the furniture can be bolted to the wall or floor.
Made from 100 per cent recycled materials (primarily recycled plastic boards and post-consumer High Density Polyethylene plastic from milk jugs and laundry detergent bottles), the healthcare elements are highly durable and will not splinter, crack, peel or chip and are also impervious to water.
Concealed metal joinery systems keep the furniture clean-lined and uninterrupted and four natural wood-look finishes are available – Birchwood, Coastal Gray, Brazilian Walnut and Driftwood Gray – with each offering a realistic organic warmth.
Designed by Cesar Fernandes and part of Stance Healthcare’s Behavioral Health division, the Lotus casegoods collection was recently awarded the Nightingale Gold Award in both the Furniture Collections category and Innovations Award.
