German artist, illustrator and printmaker Natascha Maksimovic explores the concepts and conventions of patterns through experimentations with different prink and ink techniques, including calligraphy, lino, silk screening and, as evidenced by a recent collection, marbling.
Developed in her Margate, Kent, studio, Maksimovic’s Marbled Art prints are based on the traditional Japanese technique of Suminagashi or “floating ink” marbling, which uses water and ink to transform plain paper into something quite spectacular.
Bold and bursting with colour, the patterns in this collection of interior accessories can be ordered as both art prints and wallpapers and convey a sense of vivid liveliness.
A wide range of colourways that blend together greens, oranges, purple, blues, neon tones and more are available.
