Italian architect Roberto Gobbo has updated his Margo kitchen for Euromobil with a design for a new rounded side panel. Devised in collaboration with the Euromobil R&D team and named after the Latin word margo (meaning margin or edge), the Margo kitchen was originally released in 2024 and is defined by its structural rigour, clean geometry and strong symmetry.
With a 60-millimetre-radius, the new rounded side panel introduces a fresh element to the system’s island: The curve of the panel follows the volume precisely, lending softness to its profile and establishing a balance with its characteristic geometry.
The Margo kitchen from Euromobil features a slim 14-millimetre perimeter frame that wraps the doors with definition and highlights the system’s construction. The resulting compact volume is now articulated by a fluid line that expands the overall design language.
Along with outlining the frame, the curve of the new panel effortlessly extends to the four-millimetre-thick solid satin stainless steel worktop; the worktop itself follows the same 60-millimetre radius of the corners and seamlessly meets the 60-millimetre-thick Rovere Cuoio (leather-toned oak) side panels.
Contrasting the slender steel surface, the system’s wood construction accentuates the profile of the island and showcases the continuity of the design.
The kitchen system can be complemented by the brand’s Levitas tall units, which feature a leather-toned oak structure, matte Nero Assoluto painted-aluminum frame, smoked glass doors and aluminum and glass shelves; integrated LEDs enhance the depth of the interiors and create a pleasing interplay with both the material palette and the objects on display.
