Matriarch Fabric Added to In Your Skin Collection from HBF Textiles

New York-based multidisciplinary designer Erin Ruby recently expanded her In Your Skin collection for HBF Textiles with a sixth fabric, Matriarch.

Celebrating the individual uniqueness of the human experience and ephemeral nature of like, the exuberant textile series already comprise a tattoo-inspired toile, a plush and quilted matelassé, a weathered ikat with raised boucle pinstripe that references a face’s acquired laugh lines and wrinkles, a nubbly “goosebump” wool and a speckled tweed that references a starlit sky.

Now, with Matriarch, Ruby introduces a twill weave marked by bold colour combinations that reflects the “wisdom that comes with age and experience.”

The upholstery fabric is offered in eight colourways that feature an array of rich solid grounds contrasted by diagonal stripes of impactful tones. The combinations include a soft grey with pale blue (Aura), a pinky red with green (Rose Quartz) and a greenish yellow with black (Citrine).

Also contained in the palette is a vibrant orange with red (Cernelion), a dynamic blue-green-yellow with purple-red (Labradorite), an energetic lavender with hits of yellow (Ultra Violet), a black and white with silver (Sterling) and black with grey (Obsidian).

Made from a blend of acrylic, nylon and post-consumer polyester, Matriarch perfectly rounds out the collection and can serve a sophisticated foil for the other patterns and textures of the collection.
