A new addition to the Easy collection, the Mida is a low-power square-shaped pellet stove designed to be simple to use without compromising style. Offered with a rear, top or concentric smoke outlet, the appliance can be installed to sit flush with the wall, limiting the amount of floor space needed.
The uncomplicated electronics are controlled via a built-in panel, optional remote control or synced to a smartphone using the Easy Connect kit (also optional). Equipped with Oyster technology, the unit is airtight and so does not use any interior oxygen, instead taking it from the outdoors; it also includes a No-Air feature that allows users to disable or minimize forced ventilation meaning the fireplace can be enjoyed in total silence.
The model’s door, top and brazier are made from cast iron with painted steel cladding offered in Bordeaux, White, Silver or Dark.
Originally launched in 2009, the Star stove was recently updated and restyled to have a softer and gentler – but no less elegant – look by Spanish-Italian designer Pablo Dorigo. Utilizing three rugged materials in an understated way, the unit features a cast-iron brazier and firebox (redesigned to be just as attractive when off) and a steel structure clad on the top and sides with either Serpentine stone or ceramic (in Bordeaux, White, Warm Grey and a new Matte Black).
The tank opening has been expanded to allow for easier loading of pellets and a new ceramic glow plug decreases ignition time by 40 per cent. Equipped with Air and Comfort Air for enhanced acoustic performance (and which allow for flush-to-wall installations) and a Hydromatic version that has a self-cleaning brazier and weekly ash emptying. Star can also be managed via smartphone or through a digital control panel, optional remote with thermostat.
