Negating the need to demolish walls – and subsequently produce tremendous waste – in order to reconfigure an office space, the Modwall adaptable room system from building-solutions expert Kova is an “intelligent kit of parts” that is easy to install, disassemble and reassemble as needed.

The extensive portfolio of modular freestanding elements includes self-supporting aluminum post-and-beam frame structures that can be sized to meet specific layout requirements and slip-in ladder frame wall panels that require no hardware to lock into place and come pre-assembled with Hempwool insulation for effective acoustic performance and are pre-wired for lighting and electrical; the modules feature plug-and-play connections to base building systems.

Large-format wall panels, which are hung directly to the ladder frame wall panels via pre-assembled hardware components, can be optioned with a range of standard or select material finishes.

Other options include aluminum-framed storefront doors (with butt glazed joins and powder-coated trim), aluminum-style rail or solid-core wood doors (with acoustic seals and matching hardware), as well as a ceiling structure with pre-installed mechanical, electrical and fire protection connects.

Suitable for installation in rooms up to 4.8-by-9.7-metres with ceiling heights up to 2.7 metres, the Modwall adaptable room system includes multiple lighting options (including pendants and recessed LEDs) and a wide range of finishes as well as the opportunity for customizable colourways.
