Carnegie has added two new patterns – Nexus and Dash – to its Biobased Xorel climate-positive commercial textiles line. Made from rapidly renewable sugarcane, the brand’s Biobased Xorel collection is 100 per cent PVC-free, finish-free and PFAS-free, making it a truly sustainable alternative; what’s more, the self-powered production process uses no water and for every ton of material produced, 2.5 tons of carbon is sequestered. 

Classic and timeless, Nexus includes 18 textured neutrals that feature both matte and lustrous yarns that are fused into a hardy dimensional linen. Suitable for wallcoverings, upholstered walls, wrapped panels and tackable or acoustic panels. 

Originally introduced 20 years ago, Dash is an enduring favourite for its sophisticated and easy-to-work-with nature. With Xorel Dash, 14 celestial tones and muted pops of colour have been added to the palette, with a surface texture reminiscent of raw silk. Suitable for wallcoverings, upholstered walls, wrapped panels and tackable or acoustic panels, Xorel Artform (Carnegie’s acoustical panel system), upholstery and headboards. 

Now part of the Conscious Collection, Nexus and Dash are new options for designers who adhere to positive solutions that don’t compromise style. All Biobased Xorel textiles offer beauty, performance and durability and are able to withstand the unique demands of high-traffic interiors, from healthcare and hospitality to workplace and educational settings. The fabrics are also stain-resistant, bleach-cleanable and tolerant of hospital-grade disinfectants.
