Milan-based designer Simone Bonanni created the Nolo tables for Scab Design, a series defined by clean volumes and essential lines.
Meeting at the intersection of raw material and refined design, the Nolo tables feature textured concrete bases that elegantly rise into an unexpectedly light and slender stem.
While the base of the Nolo tables is dense and grounded, the thin stem-like vertical elements are visually lightweight, creating a juxtaposition of solid and void. Made from steel, the vertical pieces replace an expected concrete column and firmly support the circular tabletop, which can be made in steel or HPL.
Through colour exploration by Bonanni, the concrete base is presented in a four-colour palette that is both earthy and vibrant and includes Fog, Sand, Powder and Mint. Visible aggregates elevate the rugged stone, making it feel at home in more sophisticated settings. The metal portions of the Nolo tables are offered in a wider range of colours and powder-coated finishes.
The Nolo tables from Scab Design are intended to complement outdoor life and are suitable for use in such venues as trendy cafés and restaurant patios, sidewalk terraces and bustling city squares. Its clean lines work equally well in private spaces like rooftop gardens, backyards and poolside lounge settings.
