Defined by rigorous geometry and a starkly minimal style, the Pagine Scritte series of occasional tables by Italian studio Gumdesign for Antonio Lupi has an expressive quality enhanced by simplicity.
The three tables in the Pagine Scritte collection vary in height and can be used separately, grouped in a cluster or fitted together in differently configurations: the metal slat tops enable the leg from the next height up table to be slide through, creating a multi-level and three-dimensional surface.
Tapering at the ends, the parallel metal bars become wider at the centre and are burnished to change the chromatic intensity; the width and subsequent decorative detail vary according to the table’s height.
