The Pebble Rug, designed by Copenhagen’s Margrethe Odgaard for Muuto, aims to recreate the sensation of walking barefoot on a beach. Made from a canvas base with jute yarn – which is backed with synthetic latex – the surface is “pebbled” with loops of wool. Defined by its tactility and texture, Pebble Rug is suitable for a wide range of environments, from homes to hotel lobbies to co-working spaces.
The rug is available in Burnt Orange, Pale Rose, Light Grey and Dark Grey, with coloured jute yarn contrasting with white wool. The loops are made with New Zealand wool, hand-woven by loom in India.
