With its new collection Phonotrama, Inkiostro Bianco introduces an acoustic solution with a minimal and sophisticated graphic language inspired by textiles and fashion. Integrating seamlessly with contemporary public and professional settings, the line was specially designed for the brand’s INK·FELT acoustic panels, which are made from 100 per cent polyester (PES) with 60 per cent recycled PET content.
Defined by essential geometries, lines and compositions, Phonotrama deftly engages with its architectural surroundings without overwhelming, showcasing the tactile character of the felt while also allowing designers maximum creative freedom to interpret and configure the surface.
Phonotrama from Inkiostro Bianco includes five distinct patterns — Basket, Gessato, Panama, Pied De Poule and Spinato — with each one reflecting the brand’s approach to creating acoustic panels that do not need to be concealed but can instead become a visually impactful and recognizable interior element.
As its name implies, Basket translates a traditional basketweave into an intricate acoustic solution with familiar charm and is available in three colours. Referencing a classic pinstripe suit, Gessato (meaning “chalk” in Italian) features blurred vertical lines that appear to be hand-drawn; four colours are available for Gessato.
The collection also includes Panama, a deep and complex multi-toned weave available in four colours; Pied De Poule, a vibrantly graphic houndstooth in four colours; and, lastly, Spinato, a sophisticated herringbone in five colours.
Suitable for use in high-traffic commercial and contract settings like workspaces, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality venues, as well as in private spaces where needed, the acoustic panels are easily affixed with a Velcro fastening system, allowing them to be freely removed and repositioned.
The Phonotrama collection from Inkiostro Bianco is available in two panel sizes, 60-by-60 and 60-by-120 centimetres (both 12-millimetres-thick) and are free from formaldehyde and VOCs.
