London-based ecoLogicStudio has prototyped Photo.Synth.Etica, a facade curtain that removes a kilogram of CO2 from the atmosphere per day – performance equal to that of about 20 large trees. The two-by-seven-metre panels are filled with pollutant-absorbing algae, which is activated by sunlight.
