The AZURE Houses issue returns in 2026 with stunning, innovative residential projects from Canada and around the world. Plus, we take a look at that seeming relic of the past: the mall.

A standalone alternative to conference rooms, the PoppinPod Kolo 2 increases the efficiency of open-plan office layouts. A private destination for focused solo or one-on-one work, the structure is also roomy enough to fit up to four people for more collaborative meetings, and can be furnished with a small worktable and a pair of chairs or four pouffes.

The motion-activated lighting is both dimmable and customizable, allowing for adjustments to the colour temperature. Anti-shatter glass panels on the front and back let light in and maintain a visual connection to the surroundings, while at the same time sound-dampening insulation in the walls keeps the noise distractions out.

Two built-in AC power outlets and two USB charging docks contribute to the pods efficiency and a ventilation system maintains a comfortable internal environment. Available in either black or white powder-coated steel.
