When developing the Ray table lamp for Menu, British designer Daniel Schofield took inspiration from old mining lamps, giving the portable illuminator a simple yet distinctive silhouette: a slender powder-coated aluminum cylindrical body houses the glass hurricane, which in turn is topped by an industrial-style shade and convenient handle.
Suitable for use indoors and outdoors, Ray is fitted with energy-saving LED technology that emits a softly diffused glow – the dimmable bulb has three ambient settings that can change and enhance the setting’s mood.
Chargeable via a concealed USB port at its base, the cordless lamp delivers up to 10 hours of light when fully charged.
The Ray portable table lamp by Menu is available in two colourways – Black and Dusty Green.
