The sustainably sourced teak requires little upkeep or maintenance and will develop a lovely silver-grey patina over time; alternatively, the wood can be lightly sanded and treated with a water-based polyurethane or teak oil once a year to retain its like-new look. 

The synthetic rattan used for the Raya dining chair is Viro Fiber, a maintenance-free and durable eco-friendly material (high-density polyethylene) that is 100 per cent recyclable.
