Experimenting with the inherent possibilities of form-pressing techniques led to the gravity-defying Ready dining chair, by Dutch designers Matias Møellenbach and Nick Rasmussen for Menu. Suspended between a pair of rounded A-frame legs, the bent wood shell with waterfall edge appears to float unassisted, presenting as sculpture from every angle.
Subtly inspired by free-swing chairs, the curious form is stackable (up to 10) and an optional Row Connection feature allows individual models to be linked together, making it also an ideal option for conference settings. Made from durable aluminum, the bracket is easy to connect and disconnect and tucks away under the seat when not needed.
Made from FSC-certified oak veneer, Menu’s Ready dining chair is available in a natural or red-stained oak finish and can be partially or fully upholstered from a wide a selection of fabrics.
