An exploration of the material qualities of raw and pure aluminum led Copenhagen-based designer Jonas Trampedach to create the Recess mirror collection, a continuation of his Rivet series for Frama.
Enhancing the “spatial experience” of an interior, the semi-circular mirror is set halfway back in an oversized aluminum frame, creating a visual play when viewed at an angle. Part sophisticated wall art, part functional accessory, the mirrors can be hung in vertical and horizontal orientations.
Left untreated, the silvery metal will take on a natural discolouration over time, adding to its inherent beauty. The Recess mirror is available in two sizes, small and large, and can be used individually or in arrangements of two or more to create dynamic vignettes.
