Named for Richard Hutten as a nod to the Dutch designer’s circular design philosophy, Michael Young’s Richard chair features a mono-shell seat that is made from 100 per cent recycled PET constituting more than 100 discarded plastic bottles.

The slender tubular legs and frame add a sculptural quality to the chair, which can be easily stacked five-high when not in use; at the end of the chair’s life, the seat and legs can be separated and each component is recyclable.

Richard is offered in two shades of grey – a pale soft mist and darker charcoal – and the steel tubes can be powder-coated one of seven muted RAL colours, from Olive Green and Wine Red to Silk Grey and Black Grey.
