For its first lounge chair suitable for outdoor use, Grand Rapids Chair Co. turned to longtime collaborator Filter Studio, which delivered Rita. 

Intended for use in both residential and commercial settings, the Rita outdoor lounge chair is defined by its two angular intersecting cushions, which are made from Dri-Fast outdoor-grade foam and can be specified in a wide range of upholstery options. The cushions are attached using Velcro straps, making them easy to remove and clean or store.  

Three variations are available: a base model, one with protective optional arm caps and one with a fixed 25.4-centimetre-wide side table; both the caps and table are made from ACRE, a sustainable wood alternative comprised of discarded rice hulls. Its versatility makes it ideal for use in diverse settings like hotel lounges, coworking offices and outdoor patios. 

The durable powder-coated steel frame with rounded edges is offered in 29 standard powder-coat colourways.
