Summer 2026

The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

The collection endeavours to introduce a sense of play into the world of work. Each lighthearted piece has its own charismatic personality, brought forward through playful accents such as the collection’s defining curves of bent tubular steel and versatile colours like Blue Sage and Signal Red.

The question at the heart of Routes’ design is: “How simple can an object be, while still fulfilling its intended function?” Every item in the collection is designed to be as practical as possible, to ensure the user intuitively understands how to use it.

The collection creates opportunity for users to define their ideal “route” to completing tasks. This ability to facilitate kinetic work is reflected in the collection’s name — “Routes” denotes intentional mobility, a workplace where people move freely and use furniture to pursue multiple pathways towards their goals.

In addition to facilitating collaboration, Routes empowers users to determine their optimal mode of work – standing, sitting, lounging, or whatever is most comfortable. With Routes there’s room for spontaneity.
