Part of the Only Good Things (sister company to Grand Rapids Chair Co.) new collection of residential bent-wood furniture, the Sigsbee chair was designed by Tim Stoepker and Sarah Gesink of Michigan-based Filter Studio. A reimaging of classic mid-century design, the seat has slender pill-shaped legs and stretchers that make a minimalist impression.
Its high back can be fitted with a soft cushion, which is strapped in place using olive green or jet black straps nylon webbing. Passed through a metal buckle, the straps add a playful detail with texture and personality.
Made from solid European beech wood in natural, black or white, the Sigsbee chair is available in all-wood, with an upholstered seat or fully upholstered versions. Counter and bar stool variants are also available.
