A collaboration with Berlin-based design studio Geckeler Michels, the Spectrum bench from Japanese furniture brand Karimoku New Standard is an elegant and harmonious companion for the former’s previously designed Spectrum 190 and 240 dining/meeting tables, each in three sizes.

A casual seating solution for both home and the office, the clean-lined and fuss-free Spectrum bench allows it to function as a strong and eye-catching standalone piece just as well as it does tucked-up to the aforementioned tables. Its generously wide plank seat offers a comfortable perch whether for dining, studying, working or gathering a group of friends together for a casual evening.

Inspired by the minimalism of Japanese architecture, the Spectrum bench boasts a graphic yet streamlined profile, while the craftsmanship of the piece speaks to its durability.

The Spectrum bench is made from sustainably sourced solid Japanese oakwood, with its seat composed of two planks joined together with a slender wood insert and four legs that gracefully splay outwards.

The Spectrum bench by Karimoku New Standard is available in Pure Oak or Black finishes, both of which are transparent enough to allow the wood’s natural graining to shine through.
