RadiceOrlandini DesignStudio conceived Scab Design‘s Squid table series with versatility top of mind, presenting alternative surface materials and shapes that can adapt to all manner of work and home needs.
Built around a slender die-cast aluminum base, the flexible collection plays with geometry through its hexagonal and rectangular tabletops. Resembling the shape of a cuttlefish bone, the tables’ legs reflect light across different inclined planes, enhancing the piece’s visual elegance; attached to a horizontal support beam, they create a solid structure on which to place the different tabletop modules.
Surface material options include Calacatta and Sahara marble and high-pressure laminate (HPL) in a variety of finishes.
The tabletops can be fixed or extendable, and are as well suited for the dining room as they are for the boardroom – the Squid OF version features openings for cable management, coated cable ducts and lids. Seven colourways are offered for the base and legs.
