Designer Sebastian Herkner has expanded his Stock’N Roll collection for Poltrona Frau with the addition of a new console, a sinuous piece that can serve as either a vanity in the bedroom or as a desk in a home office.
Maintaining the formal design language of the collection first introduced in 2024, the Stock’N Roll console from Poltrona Frau is defined by its ovoid profile, soft, organic lines, and refined detailing.
Referencing classic French cabinetry, the Stock’N Roll console has a sophisticated functionality that is enhanced by its curated materiality. Fully wrapped in Pelle Frau leather upholstery, the console is composed of a shapely top surface that is connected to a contoured leg on one end and a circular volume that nods directly to the existing bedside unit in the collection. For the console, the unit has been raised to desk height for ergonomic comfort.
A discrete door on the circular storage volume opens to reveal an interior cavity fitted with two shelves — one forming the base and one suspended closer to the top — and a handy tray. Convenient for keeping jewelry, cosmetics and other accessories close at hand, the storage component effectively transforms the console into a true vanity table.
On the surface is a recessed oval-shaped catch-all compartment that can accommodate small objects, including an optional pen holder (in Cinnamon or Sage); the storage unit can be situated on either the right or left side of the console. An adjustable round mirror can also be affixed or omitted from the tabletop; held up by a squat oval-shaped column (upholstered to match), the mirror can be positioned vertically or slightly tilted. Two USB ports can also be integrated on the inner side of the leg beneath the top surface.
The supporting structure and door of the Stock’N Roll console from Poltrona Frau are made from curved beech plywood and solid beech, while the internal shelves and tray are made from birch plywood and finished to coordinate with the interior surfaces. All the visible surfaces (inside and out) can be upholstered in a range of Pelle Frau leathers, with colours ranging from muted and neutral to earthy and vibrant.
