When conceptualizing the Super Random seating system for Manerba, Italian designer Gio Tirotto had flexibility front of mind. Focused on using one main technology – the bending of FSC-certified wood – the designer developed a single shapely piece that forms the basis for the entire series.
Moveable and stackable, the resulting multilayered bent-wood form serves as a freestanding stool, as a supportive leg for the bench modules or as a flat tabletop-like surface – or all three at once.
The other elements of the Super Random seating system – linear and curved benches – can be arranged as standalone modules or linked together in arrangements that span from radial clusters to straight runs; the stool can be inserted at any point along the upholstered seats.
Appropriate for use in dynamic offices, lobbies, waiting rooms, museums and other public spaces, the expansive system introduce softness and warmth.
Multiple fabric options are available for the upholstery and the wood is offered in two neutral finishes.
