New York lighting studio Apparatus has introduced its first limited-edition light in the new Talisman series – the Loop sconce.

When developing the wall light, artistic director Gabriel Hendifar drew inspiration from the ancient city of Persepolis and the highly detailed statues found there. 

The defining feature of the sconces are the lustrous beads that are hand-carved from semi-precious stones. Three colourways are available for the beads, with each expressing an individual refinement and charm based on ancient Persian poetry: Ahnar Pomegranate, Sepideh Dawn and Bahar Spring. 

For each Loop sconce, each bead is threaded onto a sturdy brass pin and then attached to the leather-wrapped brass armature. Visually impactful with intriguing textures, the unique Talisman lighting series has an intriguingly timeless appeal.
