The work of Italian architect and designer Marco Piva, the Tao freestanding washbasin highlights the inherent beauty of natural stone. Crafted from a block marble, the cylindrical form is pleasing to both the eye and the hand and lends a sculptural quality to bathrooms.

The washbasin by Kreoo features two thin metallic brass bands in both vertical and horizontal directions.

More than a simple yet tailored detail, the flush profiles allow for the vessel to be constructed from pieces of marble in differing sizes while appearing as one solid volume, reducing material waste. Also, the position where the two lines cross indicates the depth of the basin.

Tao is available in 10 types of marble – including Calacatta, Nero Marquina, Verde Imperial and Persian Grey – and is offered in a countertop version.
