Inspired by the mosaic masterpieces of Spanish architect and designer Antoni Gaudí, the new Tapestry wallpaper collection from New York-based studio Calico Wallpaper has a dream-like quality to instill interiors with a sense of drama.
To construct the vibrant patterns, studio co-founder and creative director Rachel Cope utilizes a wax resist technique followed by a wash of pigment, which results statement-making motifs reminiscent of shattered tile shards. Lines of Dutch metal leaf are interspersed throughout the designs to lend captivating glamour and sophistication.
Also paying homage to the unpredictability found in nature, the Tapestry wallpaper collection is available in eight colourways:

Enigma, a moody blending of purples and blues recollecting a moonlit night, and Luminary, a soft rosy tone instilled with the glow of a blooming rose at dusk.

With soft green and gold, Glisten nods to a dew-kissed and fresh morning.

Spanning a rich palette of colour, Spectrum has a diverse and masterful beauty.

Like a dazzling dance of sunlight, Sparkle emits a magical shimmer, while Tranquil weaves together soft white and blue to evoke a serene and tranquil seascape.

Opulence, which combines lavish tones with richness and grandeur.

Luster reflects the polished glow of precious metals with an elegant sheen.
Suitable for both residential and commercial projects, the Tapestry wallpaper collection is made-to-order on panels that are 335 (standard) or 487 (extended) centimetres high by 86 centimetres wide; custom sizing and detailing are available. As with most Calico collections, Tapestry can be printed on a Type II Substrate (vinyl that is scuff, moisture and heat resistant).
