The AZURE Houses issue returns in 2026 with stunning, innovative residential projects from Canada and around the world. Plus, we take a look at that seeming relic of the past: the mall.

Terracotta tiles

Part of the Fall 2025 Collection, Terra Cortona from TileBar brings old-world appeal to modern spaces. Made from authentic Italian terracotta using traditional processes, the indoor/outdoor tile series features refined details like gently tumbled edges and an arrotatura finish, a texturing technique that uses special steel brushes against the air-dried surface.

Terra Cortona TileBar comes in subway, brick and mosaic formats

With its warm, earthen red colour and naturally varied surfaces — including subway, brick and mosaic formats — and Spanish-revival inspiration, Terra Cortona from TileBar layers in warmth, depth and visual interest.

A made-in-Italy collection, Terra Cortona includes a variety of different sizes and formats that each offer a unique personality when installed as a kitchen backsplash, fireplace surround or outdoors on walls and floors.

Terra Cortona TileBar

Hand-crafted using mineral-rich galestro clay, a material with a distinct hue found in the riverbeds of the Ema and Greve rivers near Florence, the tiles undergo a prolonged air-drying process before being brushed with steel and fired at high temperatures. The end result is super-durable tiles that will age gracefully.

Terra Cortona TileBar

Terra Cortona from TileBar comes in 7.6-by-30.4- and 5-by-15.2-centimetre subway tiles, a 1.2-millimetre-by-15.2-centimetre mini brick, a 1.2-millimetre-by-5-centimetre stacked brick and a mosaic (with mesh backing).
