Summer 2026

The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

Comprised of three modular carpet styles, this striking collection was designed in collaboration with minimalist artist Larry Bell. Referencing Bell’s Standing Wall series of glass panel installations, each pattern is an exploration of the interaction between light and surfaces, and how these shift depending on the observer’s perception and position. A unique high-lustre yarn enforces the effect by amplifying the light within the patterns.

Observer layers differing colour values on top of one another, resulting in a series of overlapping angular shapes. Available in 60 cm x 60 cm and 46 cm x 91 cm formats and eight colourways.

Translating the areas of opacity and transparency in Bell’s glass sculptures, the linear Maquette emphasizes right angles and straight lines. Available in 60 cm x 60 cm and 46 cm x 91 cm formats and nine colourways.

The most neutral of the three, Transference is a small-scale textural pattern that incorporates line work that mirrors an integral element of Bell’s work – the cube. Available in 60 cm x 60 cm and 46 cm by 91 cm formats and eight colourways.
