Modular carpet tile and rug manufacturer Flor and California fashion designer Trina Turk have collaborated on an expansion to the Trina Turk x Flor collection with the addition of four new rug styles.

Continuing with inspiration of the original five carpet tiles in the Trina Turk x Flor collection, the four new limited-edition patterns explore the essence and vibrancy of Palm Springs, blending a sense of quiet luxury with the bold maximalism. Referencing swirling sand dunes, desert terrain and geometrics, each of the four styles – Heat Waves, Desert Martini, On Par and Cactus Club – incorporate Turk’s sophisticated yet whimsical aesthetics and pull a room together with a mix of colour and graphic motifs.

With a random patterning that evokes the optical illusion of a heat mirage, Heat Waves carpet tiles can create floorscapes brimming with movement and originality. Available in three colourways: Coral, Eggnog and Indigo.

Defined by a vivid marbled pattern that expresses the effortless mix of bohemian, retro and chic styles that epitomize Palm Springs, Desert Martini has an appealing irregularity and high-level spirit. Available in two colourways: Teal and Eggnog.

Like a patchwork of mid-century modern motifs, On Par is considered a “hole-in-one” for any space. Available in two colourways: Tundra and Indigo.

Appointed with irregular shapes inspired by the desert landscape, Cactus Club has a topographical look that introduces a layer of laid-back sophistication to any room. Available in Maize, Tundra and Cobalt.

All four new carpet tile styles in the Trina Turk x Flor collection are made from solution-dyed nylon that is comprised of approximately 23 per cent post-consumer and 59 per cent post-industrial materials. No two carpet tiles from any style are exactly the same, meaning the resultant patterns are not aligned and completely original. The carpet tiles can be used to build conventional area rugs that range in size from 1.5-by-2.1-metres to 3-by-3.6-metres as well as custom-sized installations.
