The AZURE Houses issue returns in 2026 with stunning, innovative residential projects from Canada and around the world. Plus, we take a look at that seeming relic of the past: the mall.

In keeping with the current and ongoing need for workspaces to offer safety and separation, 3form has released a new line of desk partitions using its durable architectural-grade resin, Varia.

Lightweight and semi-transparent, Varia is made from 40 per cent pre-consumer recycled content, can be disinfected without damage, is chemical-resistant and GreenGuard Indoor Air Quailty certified.

Weighing half as much as glass while having 40-times the impact strength, the fire-rated resin panels are offered in several formats, from full wraparounds to smaller centred screens. The wide range of patterns on offer include hand-crafted artisan designs, biophilic interlayers, modern textile motifs and digitally printed imagery, plus up to 250 different colourways.

The translucency of the material allows for controlled light transmission, which can be further adjusted through pattern specification. Two hardware options are available – brackets that can be surface-mounted using VHB tape (meaning no need for drilling) or point supports that attach directly to desks.
