Wrap Lounge Chair by Normal Studio for Muuto

When developing the Wrap lounge chair for Muuto, Paris-based design agency Normal Studio wanted to create a voluminous chair that still managed to feel super-snug and enveloping.

Characterized as a soft blanket draped over a generous silhouette, the resulting Wrap lounge chair successfully projects a deep sense of comfort.

Comprised of a light steel frame cloaked in a duvet-like textile, the lounge chair contrasts an airy lightness with ample softness and can support a variety of sitting postures for reading and relaxing.

Playing with proportion and materiality, Muuto’s Wrap lounge chair is at once abundant and barely there – its plush and loose-fitting upholstery was realized after thorough research and expresses a high quality of craftsmanship and technical knowhow.

The Wrap lounge chair’s interior pressed-felt shell is made from 100 per cent recycled post-consumer plastic and is reinforced by the steel frame. Multiple layers of foam and wadding contribute to the seat’s luxurious comfort and it can be finished in a variety of textile options from Kvadrat and Rohleder.
