Norwegians looking to hit the slopes typically make their way to Hafjell, a 1994 Winter Olympics venue located a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Oslo. Now, thanks to architecture firm Reiulf Ramstad, the area’s mountains aren’t the only summits that will impress intrepid winter enthusiasts. Favn, a new resort community developed by Alpinco Gondoltoppen, features 27 (and counting) short-term rental suites serviced by a dedicated gondola.

Additional buildings round out the intimate village with a grocery store, café, restaurant and equipment rental facility.
