CALADIO by Hoffmann Kahleyss Design for DEDON reimagines the classic shell chair through the lens of nature, craftsmanship and sustainability. Inspired by the caladium plant — also known as the elephant ear — its sculptural silhouette echoes the flowing lines and organic forms found in nature while delivering exceptional comfort for outdoor living.

The collection’s defining feature is its continuous woven surface, which seamlessly integrates the seat, armrests and backrest into a single enveloping form. Handwoven by DEDON’s master artisans, the intricate weave creates a near-molded effect that cradles the body while showcasing the exceptional skill and precision behind every piece. Four elegantly tapered solid teak legs provide warmth, stability and a refined architectural presence.

At the heart of CALADIO is DEDON EcoCycle Fiber, an innovative material developed to combine long-lasting performance with a more sustainable approach to outdoor furniture manufacturing.
