Designed by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, Ottoman has always been a Ligne Roset fan favourite. The idea behind the design was sparked while he was working on a concept for a hotel in Marrakech, Morocco.

The hotel was not completed, but he was captivated by the charm of a traditional Moroccan footstool, filled with “zenitude,” comfort and wellbeing. Through his work with quilting and colour, he highlights this Moroccan inspiration in the stitching pattern while still rooting the design in modernity.

The Ottoman Outdoor collection provides the same comfort in an outdoor setting, with a drain cleverly hidden between the seat and backrest to remove moisture from the elements and outdoor performance upholstery fabrics, which offer breathable comfort and are UV/fade resistant, stain-resistant, and mold/mildew resistant.

Single- or two-tone outdoor upholstery options are available in over 30 colours and textures (and two new dual-fabric options in pink or blue) to fit the space’s style. Every detail, down to the seal-protected seams, is produced to protect the integrity of the design while standing up to the elements of the outdoors.

Ottoman Outdoor is available in leading performance textiles brand Sunbrella’s Chartres line (either monochromatic or two-colour combination) for an effect that equals the sophistication of interior design while resisting fading and degradation from sunlight.

“Design is about telling a story and Ottoman is the story of a land where indoor and outdoor permanently co-exist,” says Duchaufour-Lawrence.
