Peak, an impressive new addition to Colombo Design America’s line up of 2024 hardware releases, is an extraordinary handle designed by globally recognized contemporary designer Patrick Jouin. The inspiration for Peak comes from the clean, sharp lines of ridges that rise and fade into the mountains, mimicking natural forms to create a design that blends art with nature.

What makes Peak truly unique is the play of light on its surface. The material is sculpted by light, revealing its refined curves. “I didn’t make a sketch of Peak, but I let my hand sculpt it instinctively. A door handle is first and foremost an object that can be touched, the grasp of which must be obvious,” says Jouin.

The result of the creative process combines form and function, aesthetics, and ergonomics in an unprecedented way. Peak is made of Cromall, a high-performance alloy of zinc and aluminum, certified and patented by Colombo Design, which allows for flexibility and ductility in shape and resistance over time.

Available finishes include classic Polished Chrome, Satin Chrome, Matte Black alongside PVD treated finishes such as Satin Gold, Matte Graphite and Matte Vintage. The collection expands with complimentary hardware to allow for project coordination. The user may consider window handles, privacy kits, and escutcheons. Peak embodies the art of entrances and is destined to leave its mark on interior design projects.
