Summer 2026

The June/July/August 2026 edition of AZURE is dedicated to our 16th annual AZ Awards — and also features the best of Milan, the New Museum’s expansion, the latest in building envelope systems and more!

The AZ Awards issue packs much more than our winners and finalists — though they certainly take pride of place. (And you can read all about them on our dedicated AZ Awards site.)

Emma Series by Emma Olbers for Eldvarm

Led by founder Louise Varre, Scandinavian homwares brand Eldvarm focuses on bringing warmth and functionality to the home through its tailored collection of fireplace products and interior accessories. Elegant and eco-friendly, the pieces are rooted in tradition and culture and are meticulously crafted using materials selected for their beauty and longevity.

To that end, the Emma Series of baskets, lanterns, fireplace tool sets and guard screens was designed by Emma Olbers to bring a sense of warmth, comfort and well-being wherever they are used.

Made from a durable metal, the Emma multipurpose basket can corral firewood, but also be used to store magazine, blankets, plants or other items that contribute to a relaxing environment. A vegetable-tanned leather cuff adds a hit of tactility to the smooth metal surface, which can be finished in seven earthy hues.

The Emma lantern is rendered in a similar shape to the basket and features a removable glass hurricane to protect candles. Alternatively, the vessel can be used as a flower pot or planter or as a small catch-all bowl for a number of items. The lantern is also available in the same seven hues as the basket.

With implements specifically designed for their tasks, the Emma companion tool set includes a poker/blower, brush (with horse hair and cactus root bristles) and shovel, each with a pleasingly chunky turned-beech wood handle, as well as a set of sturdy tongs. The tool set is available in nine finishes.

Offered in two widths, the freestanding fire screen has smooth, easy-to-grasp handles and a curved base for stability; the perforated metal keeps sparks and embers safely contained without inhibiting views to the crackling fire. Available in three colours.
