Equal parts artwork and acoustic solution, the Scanlines system by TURF Design allows for almost any two-dimensional image to be translated into a three-dimensional sound-absorbing panel.

Addressing the spatial, visual and acoustic problems when developing and designing spaces, the series utilizes the brand’s propriety algorithm technology to create one-of-a-kind pieces that can be up to a maximum size of 302 centimetres high by 120.6 centimetres wide and 12 millimetres thick.

The process involves turning the intensity of the colour variations in a provided image into a tangible depth – while considering contrast, shading and scale – which is then used to cut the acoustic PET felt into a multidimensional artwork that reduces echo and reverberation within a space.
