1 OMA’s furniture collection for Knoll

At Prada’s Milan headquarters, Rem Koolhaas and his Office for Metropolitan Architecture will unveil a few furnishings in an 11-piece collaboration with the American furniture manufacturer. Koolhaas re-imagines simple forms – made with concrete, acrylic, travertine and aluminum – that blur the line between residential and contract furniture. Among the works on display: spiky bubblegum pink lounge chairs perched on translucent acrylic bases, cantilevered swivel coffee tables and height-adjustable tables. Via Fogazzaro 36.

2 Meet My Project‘s group show

Taking visitors inside the design and making process of emerging talents from across the globe, including Brazil, Egypt and Japan, this exhibit presents textile, furniture and lighting. Among its featured talents are Maria Bruun, who will display a tubular steel chair covered entirely in woven rope; and Olli Mustikainen and Jari Nyman, who present their practical Mägi bench (shown). 3 Formafantasma‘s Cucina Sambonet at La Sindrome dell’Influenza show

Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin, the duo popular for imagining housewares made from plant-based plastics and agricultural waste, will present an interactive installation in homage to Roberto Sambonet. Using Sambonet’s iconic kitchen accessories (including the Fish Poacher) as a point of departure, Studio Formafantasma explores the late designer’s relationship with food and kitchenware through video and products. It’s just one of 10 exhibits at the Triennale di Milano’s La sindrome dell’influenza show, where designers are offering their personal interpretation of the work of prominent Italian design. 4 Moooi‘s Unexpected Welcome exhibit

With a roster of collaborators that includes Studio Job, Neri & Hu, Nika Zupanc and Bertjan Pot among others, this Dutch brand has stoked much anticipation of its new collection.
