The elegant signage says it all. Le Royal is a Paris hotel that exudes a chic atmosphere from the moment guests arrive. The entrance features black-painted walls with minimal moulding, a checkerboard tile floor and a gold desk. The decor, by Emma Donnersberg Interiors and Michel Amar, is impeccable and consistently luxurious.

Just off the reception, the living room is furnished with a classic Moroccan rug, plush, tan-upholstered chairs and minimal yet sculptural tables and floor lights. This warm setting is curated against the backdrop of a wallpapered back wall that deconstructs the tile flooring dominating the interior in a pattern of silver and white triangles. A little alcove with a counter and round wall mirrors serves up a complementary setting for reading or working on a laptop.

Awash in natural light from skylights, the dining room plays up its courtyard setting. The walls are painted in a motif of abstract leaves, and minimal wall sconces augment the room’s warm ambience. Soft tan banquettes and chairs with chevron upholstery complement the flawless wood tables.
