André Saraiva is a prolific graffiti artist with a career that spans three decades, 300,000 streetscape canvases across six continents and numerous commercial collaborations and art gallery commissions. Now, he’s teamed up with Vipp for a limited edition that brings his signature pink backdrop and cartoon-esque figures to the Danish brand’s latest offerings.

The collaboration began organically, with another of Saraiva’s projects: Alongside his street art, the Parisian is also an entrepreneur and hotelier and he had originally commissioned a custom pink garbage receptacle from Vipp for his now-iconic property, Hotel Amour.

The new limited edition is a brainchild of that first encounter. And it also represents Vipp’s own evolution. The brand is best known for its bins, but it, too, recently diversified, bringing its clean-lined signature style to powder-coated steel modular kitchens and even fully kitted out cabins.

Saraiva has taken the kitchen island and spray-painted it with his zany characters, including MR. A, a stick-figure sporting a winking eye and a top hat. He’s also created bins that match the island in style and energy. It’s a refreshingly daring collection that, christened Amour, is not for the faint of heart.
