The best architecture and design lectures of fall 2023 include Sauerbruch Hutton

British architect Louisa Hutton is a co-founder of Sauerbruch Hutton. The firm is now based in Berlin, where they realized their best-known building, the award-winning GSW headquarters (1999) with its distinctive solar screens in various shades of red.

Other important works by the firm, such as the German Environment Agency in Dessau (2005) and the Museum Brandhorst in Munich (2009), also attest to its investigation of the potential of vibrant colour as an architectural resource. In her talk, Hutton presents her work and discusses the use of colour in architecture.
