Studiomacbride is recruiting a Junior Interior Designer to join its growing team in Berlin. Studiomacbride is a multi-dextrous design studio that works across hospitality, retail and residential typologies.

The requirements of the Junior Interior Designer:

  • first class design or architecture based degree and relevant industry work experience of at least one to two years
  • excellent English language skills both written and verbal are required for this position (German language skills are not required)
  • strong attention to detail with a passion for hospitality design
  • resourceful and a willingness to learn and grow with the studio
  • comprehensive knowledge of Vectorworks, SketchUp, and Adobe InDesign is essential for this role
  • be confident in liaising with outside suppliers, contractors and specialists
  • have the ability to visualize concepts and confidently explain, and present them to others
  • proactive attitude to improving standards, work processes and sharing of knowledge

The responsibilities:

  • assisting with researching, defining and developing innovative spatial environments
  • assisting to help to create holistic concepts in collaboration with the design team
  • assisting to help to create high-quality presentations for all project stages
  • ability to assist in the production of detailed drawing packages including architectural, joinery and furniture drawings for tender and construction
  • production of CGI visuals for internal design discussions and early-stage client presentations
  • creating sample boards and researching new materials and techniques in collaboration with the design team
  • contributing to the project management of jobs, updating documentation, minutes and schedules as required
  • liaising with suppliers, architects, contractors, etc.
  • assisting in the build and maintenance of digital and physical libraries of technical references and material samples
