Lanescape is seeking a passionate and technically proficient Intern Architect to join their office in Toronto, Ontario and work on their growing list of projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in single family residential design and construction
  • Proficiency in the following software:
    • High proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential
    • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
    • Sketchup
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Thorough comprehension of wood-frame construction detailing, materials, and standards
  • Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Part 9
  • Familiarity with municipal approvals and the Toronto zoning by-law
  • Passion for sustainable, innovative urban design and construction
  • Self-sufficiency, self-motivation and a critical eye for detail
  • Excellent graphic, written and oral communication skills
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented individual capable of working on several projects simultaneously

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of drawings for permit, tender and construction in Revit
  • Consultant coordination
  • Development and maintenance of office standards
  • Assisting with product research and specifications
  • Full-time work week from the Lanescape office, 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with teammates, clients, consultants, and vendors
  • Lead preparation of drawings for permit, tender, and construction
  • Material/specification research, detailing, and coordination
  • Monitoring of deliverables, schedules and communication with clients
